Until now, I have always bought my guns from large gun stores. This time, I was looking for a specific handgun and contacted several shops. Fudd Free Firearms stood out because you can tell they focus more on building genuine rapport than just making a sale. At their shop, I witnessed how they handled a first-time gun buyer who came in. Instead of jumping into a checklist of questions, they had a real conversation. I observed how they adapted as they spoke, guiding the customer in a way that made them feel confident about their final choice. Another thing worth mentioning is when I asked if I could take out my carry pistol to compare the grip and size with the models I was looking at. After they allowed it, I unholstered my gun to unload it. Even though everyone there is laid back and casual, I immediately noticed a subtle shift in their body language and posture. I have to admit, it impressed me and at the same time made me feel safer. I like to measure one's competence by their ability to admit not knowing something. That being said, I have found my go-to place when it comes to firearms. I have not told them that yet, though.
I went into the shop to buy a 1301 that Eryk helped me with and it was a great experience. I would recommend Fudd Free Firearms to anyone looking to expand there collection or just starting out. These guys are knowledgeable and more than willing to help with whatever you need.
