Scar 20S

The FN SCAR 20S is the Precision Marksman variant of the SCAR family, purpose-built for long-range semi-automatic fire with a 20-inch heavy-profile cold hammer-forged chrome-lined barrel in 7.62x51mm NATO. The longer barrel increases muzzle velocity and extends the effective range well beyond 800 yards, and the optimized barrel contour provides the sustained accuracy needed for precision work without the weight of a full heavy-profile profile. The short-stroke gas piston operating system eliminates carbon fouling inside the receiver, keeping the action cleaner over extended shooting sessions than a DI counterpart.

The full-length Picatinny top rail on the monolithic upper receiver provides generous optics mounting space with no gaps or interruptions, critical for long-range precision shooting where consistent cheek weld and eye relief matter. The two-stage trigger with a factory-set pull weight between 3.5 and 4.5 pounds is calibrated for precision fire from the factory without aftermarket modification. The adjustable stock adjusts for both length of pull and cheek height, accommodating a wide range of shooters and optic heights. At 10.7 lbs, the SCAR 20S is a serious long-range tool built for accuracy, not concealability.
